The Nisga'a Nation has the only land title system operated by a First Nation in Canada. The Nisga'a system is a modified Torrens system that is specifically tailored to meet the needs of the Nisga'a Nation and its citizens, while ensuring that the system itself maintains the highest standards of legal accountability.

Transactions related to fee simple Nisga'a Lands and charges registered against that land are registered in the Nisga'a Land Title Office, in accordance with the provisions of the Nisga'a Land Title Act and its attendant regulations.
