Nisga'a Commercial Group of Companies
Nisga'a Lisims Government has created Nisga'a corporations to fulfill specific needs, such as marketing fish, managing forest resources, and building a telecommunications infrastructure. To oversee these corporations, Nisga'a Lisims Government has established an independent board and hired a CEO to ensure the separation between government and business interests. While Nisga'a government will continue to promote and facilitate new economic development initiatives, the day-to-day running of Nisga'a corporations will be outside the purview of elected officials-freeing them to concentrate on governance while allowing those with proven business acumen to move the economy forward.
